Complete Dental Care in One Visit
— No More Repeated Appointments

Some children need multiple cavities filled, crowns placed, extractions done — all at once. In a standard dental office, that means 6, 7, or 8 separate appointments, each with its own preparation, stress, and recovery for your child.

At Germantown Pediatric Dental Center, Dr. Echandy performs all necessary dental work in a single visit under total sedation at Shady Grove Hospital or Shady Grove Children’s Surgery Center.

One procedure. One recovery. No repeated trauma for your child or your family — and a complete, healthy smile when it’s done.

Is Your Child's Dental Work Piling Up?

Everything Done. In One Visit.

Multiple procedures completed under total sedation means your child goes through the process once — and wakes up with everything done. No repeated fear, no repeated recovery, no more postponed care.

Dr. Echandy has over 25 years of experience completing extensive dental work in a single hospital visit. She has helped hundreds of families finally resolve years of accumulated dental needs — safely, efficiently, and with the highest standard of care.

Why Families in Germantown Trust Dr. Echandy for Their Child's Most Complex Dental Care

Dr. Irma Echandy, DDS, has over 25 years of experience in pediatric dentistry — and is one of the few specialists in the region who performs procedures under total sedation in a full hospital setting.

Every case is performed at Shady Grove Hospital or Shady Grove Children’s Surgery Center, with a complete medical team supporting every step. This is not sedation in a dental chair — this is your child in a hospital operating room, with the highest standard of safety available.

Hundreds of families in Germantown, Gaithersburg, Rockville and surrounding areas have trusted Dr. Echandy with their child’s most complex dental needs. Many of them had been told there was no solution — until they found her.

When Dental Problems Keep Piling Up
— And There's No End in Sight

Multiple cavities. Crowns that keep getting postponed. Extractions that never happen because the appointment falls apart before it starts. For some children, the dental work accumulates faster than it can be addressed — and every failed appointment makes the next one harder.

Parents feel the weight of it. The guilt of knowing their child needs care they haven’t been able to access. The frustration of a system that wasn’t built for children who need more than a standard visit can offer.

This is not a failure of effort. It is a gap in the available options — and there is a better one.

One Visit. Complete Treatment. No More Waiting.

At Germantown Pediatric Dental Center, we perform all necessary dental procedures under total sedation at Shady Grove Hospital and Shady Grove Children’s Surgery Center. Your child arrives, is safely sedated by a full anesthesia team, and wakes up with every procedure completed.

Cavities filled. Crowns placed. Extractions done. Everything — in one visit.

Dr. Echandy has over 25 years of experience completing extensive dental work in a single hospital session. Families who had been managing their child’s dental problems one appointment at a time finally got everything resolved — and never had to go back for the same issues again.

What Happens on the Day of the Procedure

Before: Your family meets with Dr. Echandy for a pre-operative consultation. We review your child’s medical history, explain every step, and answer all your questions. Nothing moves forward until you feel completely informed and ready.

The day of the procedure: You arrive at Shady Grove Hospital or Shady Grove Children’s Surgery Center. The anesthesia team administers sedation safely.

Dr. Echandy completes all necessary dental work while your child sleeps comfortably — crowns, fillings, extractions, whatever is needed, all in one visit.

Recovery: Your child wakes up in a monitored recovery area. Most children are ready to go home within a few hours. Mild grogginess is normal — by the next day, most are back to their routine.

Follow-up: Dr. Echandy schedules a follow-up visit to confirm healing and answer any questions.
